If you are shopping for korg liano portable 88 key digital piano alternatives, comparing key specifications helps you find the right match for your space and playing needs. The Korg Liano stands out for its lightweight 13.7-pound build, full 88-key semi-weighted layout, built-in bass reflex speakers, and integrated USB Audio and USB-MIDI connectivity.
However, you might want a different instrument profile depending on your performance goals. Some players need fully weighted key action rather than semi-weighted keys, which adds acoustic-style resistance at a heavier weight of 25.4 pounds. Other musicians might prioritize wireless Bluetooth connections, a 180-degree folding frame for compact storage, or bundled accessories like a folding stand. The 6 alternatives in this guide were chosen because their specifications directly overlap with the original, sharing portable 88-key designs and built-in speakers while providing distinct hardware configurations for 2026.
Our top pick: Korg Liano 88-Key Portable Digital Piano.
Comparing the Top Korg Liano Alternatives
Korg Liano 88-Key Semi-Weighted Piano
The Korg Liano 88-Key Semi-Weighted Piano shares the identical core platform as the original model. Both units feature an 88-key semi-weighted keybed, built-in bass reflex speakers, USB connectivity, and an included sustain pedal. Physical specifications align across both keyboards, matching a 13.7-pound weight, 56-inch length, 14.6-inch width, and 6.22-inch height. You do not gain extra acoustic leverage or alternative hardware connectivity with this option, nor do you sacrifice any portability. Choose this specific variant if you want the exact lightweight form factor, built-in speaker setup, and portable dimensions of the primary Korg Liano configuration.
Yamaha 88-Key Weighted Portable Digital Piano
The Yamaha P45B steps up from the semi-weighted action of the Korg Liano by offering fully weighted key action across its 88 keys. This provides higher key resistance that closer mimics a traditional acoustic instrument. In exchange for this weighted mechanism, the Yamaha weighs 25.4 pounds, which is nearly twelve pounds heavier than the 13.7-pound Liano. Its footprint measures 52.3 inches long by 11.5 inches wide, making it slightly shorter and narrower than the 56-by-14.6-inch Korg. Pick the Yamaha P45B if developing finger strength on weighted keys matters more to you than retaining an ultra-lightweight, easy-to-carry instrument.
Ngdgtt 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Ngdgtt 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano expands on the Korg Liano by integrating wireless Bluetooth connectivity alongside its built-in speakers. It targets beginners and adults looking for an inclusive bundle with a sustain pedal and 200 onboard sounds, which outnumbers the basic sound selection found on the Liano. However, you trade away Korg's dedicated bass reflex speaker system and specialized USB Audio and MIDI recording pipeline. Choose the Ngdgtt if you prefer wireless audio pairing and a large built-in sound library over the streamlined USB production focus of the Korg Liano.
Best Choice Products 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Best Choice Products 88-Key Digital Piano provides a semi-weighted 88-key layout paired with an included folding stand and sustain pedal. At 20.7 pounds, it is seven pounds heavier than the 13.7-pound Korg Liano. Its dimensions are slightly more compact horizontally, measuring 51 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 4.5 inches tall, compared to the Liano's 56 by 14.6 by 6.22 inches. You give up the integrated bass reflex speaker design and dedicated USB Audio interface of the Liano. Choose the Best Choice Products keyboard if you need a bundled stand setup ready for immediate home deployment.
The STRICH SEP-88F offers a 180-degree folding frame and a built-in rechargeable battery, giving it a level of storage compactness that the rigid 56-inch Korg Liano cannot match. When opened, it measures 50 inches wide and only 1.97 inches tall, allowing it to pack down to 25 inches for transit. Both models use semi-weighted keys and include sustain pedals. However, the STRICH sacrifices the Korg's bass reflex speaker system and direct USB Audio routing. Pick the STRICH if extreme travel convenience, battery-powered playing, and space-saving folding capabilities outweigh standard chassis rigidity.
MUSTAR 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The MUSTAR 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano adds wireless Bluetooth functionality to an 88-key portable layout. Measuring 49 inches long and 11 inches wide, it occupies less table length than the 56-inch Korg Liano. Both instruments utilize semi-weighted key action and include a standard sustain pedal. By choosing the MUSTAR, you forgo the direct USB Audio interface capabilities and specific bass reflex enclosure found on the Korg Liano. The MUSTAR is the appropriate selection if you want a compact 88-key practice keyboard that connects wirelessly to your external mobile devices.

Frequently asked questions
Which alternative provides fully weighted keys instead of semi-weighted action?
The Yamaha P45B features fully weighted key action rather than the lighter semi-weighted action found on the Korg Liano. This heavier keybed targets learners who want the authentic resistance of an acoustic instrument. The trade-off is physical weight, as the Yamaha model weighs 25.4 pounds compared to the 13.7-pound chassis of the Korg Liano.
Which Korg Liano alternatives include Bluetooth connectivity?
Both the Ngdgtt 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano and the MUSTAR 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano come equipped with wireless Bluetooth connectivity. Is there a foldable 88-key alternative to the Korg Liano?
Yes, the STRICH SEP-88F features a 180-degree folding frame designed for travel and compact storage. While the Korg Liano uses a rigid 56-inch frame, the STRICH folds down to 25 inches in length. How does the Best Choice Products keyboard compare in size and weight?
The Best Choice Products SKY5484 is slightly shorter and heavier than the Korg Liano. It measures 51 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 4.5 inches high, with a total weight of 20.7 pounds. Yes, every alternative in this guide includes a sustain pedal. The Yamaha P45B, Ngdgtt 88041S, Best Choice Products SKY5484, STRICH SEP-88F, and MUSTAR models all list sustain pedals as standard equipment. This ensures you can play sustained passages immediately on any of these 88-key portable models without having to purchase a separate pedal.
Which alternative offers the largest built-in sound selection?
The Ngdgtt 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano provides 200 built-in sounds. It is designed as an all-in-one starter package for beginners and adult learners, pairing that wide tone palette with semi-weighted keys, integrated speakers, and Bluetooth.
