The AiJoy 88-Key Magnetic Split Keyboard offers a unique solution for players who need portability without sacrificing key count. Its magnetic design allows you to split the 88 keys into two 44-key sections, making it easy to carry in a backpack. The unit weighs only 7.3 lbs and runs on a battery, which supports over 10 hours of play. You also get velocity-sensitive semi-weighted keys and a full starter kit with a pedal and stand.
If you need different specifications, these aijoy 88 keys piano keyboard alternatives provide viable options. Some buyers may prefer a foldable form factor for even smaller storage, while others might want built-in Bluetooth for app connectivity. This list includes seven keyboards chosen because their specs overlap with the original. You will find models with weighted keys, different key counts like 61 keys, or varying bundle inclusions. These alternatives cover similar use cases, from travel-friendly practice to compact home setups, ensuring you find a keyboard that matches your specific technical requirements.
How each alternative compares
GarveeLife 88-Key Foldable Piano
The GarveeLife 88-Key Foldable Piano adds Bluetooth connectivity, which the AiJoy lacks. It weighs 18.5 pounds, making it significantly heavier than the 7.3-pound AiJoy. This model offers both weighted and semi-weighted key options, providing more resistance than the AiJoy’s semi-weighted keys. Its foldable design prioritizes compact storage over the AiJoy’s magnetic split. You should choose this if you need wireless app integration and a stiffer key feel, but you must accept the extra weight and bulk for travel.
Dellersound Folding 88-Key Portable Piano
The Dellersound Folding 88-Key Portable Piano weighs 11 pounds, which is heavier than the AiJoy but lighter than the GarveeLife. It features a foldable form factor rather than a magnetic split design. Key action includes weighted and semi-weighted options, offering more variety than the AiJoy’s single semi-weighted setup. It lacks listed Bluetooth connectivity, matching the AiJoy in that regard. This option suits travelers who want a durable folding case and varied key resistance, but you will sacrifice the unique magnetic splitting feature found on the AiJoy.
Ktaxon 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Ktaxon 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano is described as a complete beginner bundle with wireless features, implying Bluetooth support unlike the AiJoy. It maintains the semi-weighted key feel found on the AiJoy. The specific weight and dimensions are not listed in the provided data, so portability comparisons are limited. It targets players seeking wireless capabilities without the magnetic split mechanism. You should consider this if wireless connectivity is essential, but you will give up the ability to split the keyboard into two portable 44-key sections.
RockJam 61-Key Keyboard Kit with Stand and Stool
The RockJam 61-Key Keyboard Kit differs significantly by offering only 61 keys, compared to the AiJoy’s full 88-key range. It weighs 19.8 pounds, making it much heavier than the 7.3-pound AiJoy. This model includes a stand and stool, which the AiJoy does not. It is designed for fixed setups rather than portable travel. You should pick this if you need an immediate all-in-one home setup with teaching functions, but you will lose the full 88-key range and the lightweight, battery-powered portability of the AiJoy.
Yamaha 61-Key Portable Keyboard
The Yamaha 61-Key Portable Keyboard is a lightweight option weighing 12.6 pounds, still heavier than the AiJoy. It provides only 61 keys, lacking the full 88-key range of the AiJoy. It does not list weighted keys, offering a lighter touch than the AiJoy’s semi-weighted action. This model is suitable for tight practice areas and basic learning tools. You should choose this for a simple, entry-level instrument, but you will sacrifice the full piano range and the unique magnetic portability features of the AiJoy.
Yhgfe 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Yhgfe 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano matches the AiJoy with 88 keys and semi-weighted action. It weighs more and has a fixed size, lacking the magnetic split capability. It includes USB-MIDI connectivity, similar to the AiJoy, but does not list Bluetooth support. This model is an all-in-one bundle for adults, prioritizing a complete package over portability. You should select this if you need a standard 88-key layout with included accessories, but you will give up the ability to split the keyboard for easy transport.
