Key specs explained

88 weighted hammer-action keys

This instrument provides a full set of keys with a weighted mechanism that mimics the resistance of an acoustic piano. The hammer action helps you develop proper finger strength and technique. You get a natural playing feel that supports accurate practice and expressive dynamics. This is essential if you are transitioning from a lightweight keyboard or preparing for live performances where touch sensitivity matters.

Folding form factor

The piano features a one-button folding design that reduces its size for easy storage and transport. It weighs approximately 18.7 lb and measures just 25.2 inches when folded. This compact footprint makes it ideal for musicians who travel frequently or have limited space at home. You can quickly set it up for rehearsals or gigs without needing a permanent station.

Dual 10W speakers

Built-in stereo speakers deliver rich, clear, and balanced sound directly from the unit. The dual 10W system ensures sufficient volume for home practice or small studio rehearsals without immediate external amplification. You get an enjoyable playing experience with decent audio quality. However, for larger venues, you may still need to connect to external sound systems for optimal projection.

Wireless MIDI and Audio

You can connect the piano wirelessly to compatible phones, tablets, and computers. This connectivity supports music apps, playback, practice, and recording sessions. It eliminates the need for cumbersome cables during setup. You can easily integrate the instrument into a digital workflow, making it convenient for modern music creation and digital practice routines.

128 preset tones

The instrument includes 128 different sound options, allowing you to explore a wide range of musical genres. You can switch between piano, strings, organ, and other sounds to suit your playing style. This variety adds flexibility to your practice and performance sessions. You can experiment with different textures and create more diverse musical arrangements without needing additional sound modules.

Portable folding design details

The AiJoy ASP-50F features a folding form factor that prioritizes transportability. According to the listing, the unit weighs approximately 18.7 lb (8.5 kg). When folded, it measures 25.2 inches in length, 12.5 inches in width, and 12.9 inches in height. This compact footprint allows you to store the instrument in tight spaces or carry it to rehearsals and gigs with ease. The white finish provides a clean aesthetic, though a black option is also available for those who prefer a darker look.

The one-button folding mechanism simplifies setup and storage. You can deploy the full 88-key weighted hammer-action keyboard quickly without complex assembly. This design supports musicians who need a portable solution that does not compromise on key count. The inclusion of a carrying bag further enhances its utility for travel. You can pack the piano along with the included sustain pedal and headphones for a complete practice setup.

Built-in dual 10W speakers provide audio output without external amplification. The instrument also houses a 2600mAh rechargeable battery, offering 5–6 hours of playtime. This internal power source ensures you can practice anywhere without needing an outlet. The combination of folding mechanics, lightweight construction, and wireless connectivity makes this digital piano suitable for students and performers who value mobility and convenience in their gear.

Setup and everyday use guide

Setting up this instrument is straightforward thanks to its one-button folding mechanism. You simply unfold the keys to reveal the full 88-key layout. The unit includes a sustain pedal, headphones, and a carrying bag, so you have everything needed for immediate use. This all-in-one package eliminates the need to purchase separate accessories before your first practice session.

The keyboard offers three adjustable velocity curves, allowing you to tailor the touch response to your playing style. This feature helps you achieve expressive dynamics, which is essential for accurate practice and confident performances. The weighted hammer action keys provide resistance that mimics an acoustic piano, supporting the development of proper finger technique.

For daily use, the built-in 2600mAh rechargeable battery provides up to five to six hours of playtime. This makes the piano suitable for home practice, studio rehearsals, or travel without being tethered to a power outlet. The dual 10W speakers deliver clear sound for solo playing or small group sessions.

Connectivity is handled through wireless MIDI and audio, enabling easy connection to phones, tablets, and computers. You can use music apps, record, or play along with digital tracks. The instrument also features 128 tones and 128 rhythm styles, along with 30 demo songs. Additional functions like Chord Mode, Transpose, and Dual Keyboard expand your creative options. This setup supports both learning and performance in various environments.

Before You Buy This Piano

This folding digital piano is a strong option if you need 88 weighted keys in a portable package. It weighs about 18.7 lb and folds to 25.2 inches, making it easy to carry. However, you should check if your devices support wireless MIDI and audio connections. The listing mentions compatibility with phones, tablets, and computers, but you must verify your specific apps work with these protocols. Since it relies on a built-in 2600mAh battery, you will need to recharge it regularly. The battery lasts five to six hours, which is sufficient for most practice sessions. You may also want to buy a separate power adapter for longer gigs. This instrument fits well alongside other portable options if space is tight. It is not ideal if you need a stationary home setup with extensive physical controls. Consider your storage needs carefully before choosing this model.

Check before you buy

• Verify wireless MIDI and audio compatibility with your devices
• Check if your music apps support the connection protocols
• Ensure you have space for the folded 25.2-inch footprint
• Plan for regular battery recharging during extended use
