If you are searching for aijoy portable piano keyboard 88 alternatives, this list covers 6 options that share its core specifications. The AiJoy model stands out for its folding form factor, semi-weighted key action, and built-in wireless MIDI connectivity. It offers a lightweight design at 8.8 pounds with a 7-hour battery life, making it ideal for travel. However, you might prefer a different setup if you need a traditional stand, a triple pedal board, or a larger speaker system. Some players also seek fully weighted keys rather than the semi-weighted action found here.
The alternatives selected for this guide overlap with the AiJoy in key areas such as having 88 keys and semi-weighted actions. They vary in portability, connectivity, and included accessories to suit different practice environments. You can choose a compact folding unit like the STRICH for maximum portability, or opt for a stationary setup with a sturdy stand and triple pedal like the MUSTAR. Each option provides distinct features, such as Bluetooth connectivity or built-in speakers, allowing you to match your specific needs. This comparison helps you find the right balance between portability, key feel, and available features without relying on subjective opinions.
Our top pick: AiJoy 88-Key Folding Semi-Weighted Piano.
How these alternatives differ
GLARRY 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The GLARRY model replaces the AiJoy’s folding design with a fixed, compact stand structure. It includes a triple pedal system, whereas the AiJoy only provides a sustain pedal. This makes the GLARRY better for beginners who want a complete starter setup without buying extras. However, it lacks the AiJoy’s wireless MIDI and battery power. You cannot take it traveling as easily. It suits players who prioritize a full pedal setup and built-in speakers over portability and wireless connectivity. The fixed form factor means it stays in one place.
Homfan 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Homfan piano shares the semi-weighted key action but weighs significantly more at 21.4 pounds compared to the AiJoy’s 8.8 pounds. It lacks the folding mechanism, making it less portable. However, it offers app connectivity, which the AiJoy does not explicitly list in its core specs. This makes the Homfan suitable for students who value software integration over lightweight transport. It is a practical option for those with limited space who do not need the ultra-light travel features. You give up easy folding for potentially better digital integration.
Melentro 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Melentro model features Bluetooth connectivity, a feature the AiJoy does not list. It uses a full-size fixed form factor rather than a folding design. This makes it less compact for travel but potentially more stable for home practice. It is ideal for beginners needing a portable practice setup with wireless audio capabilities. You trade the AiJoy’s folding convenience for Bluetooth support. The fixed structure provides a standard piano footprint. It is a good choice if you prioritize wireless audio streaming over the ability to fold the keyboard for transport.
Best Choice Products 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Best Choice Products model is a fixed, non-folding piano that weighs 20.7 pounds. It includes built-in speakers and a sustain pedal, similar to the AiJoy’s audio output options. However, it lacks the folding design and wireless MIDI connectivity. This makes it less suitable for travel. It is better for beginners needing a lightweight, portable practice setup who do not require advanced connectivity. You get a complete package without the complexity of folding mechanisms. It is a straightforward option for stationary practice where portability is not the primary concern.
STRICH 88-Key Foldable Digital Piano
The STRICH model is a foldable digital piano, similar to the AiJoy in form factor. It is battery-powered and designed for portable practice. However, it lacks the explicit wireless MIDI listing found in the AiJoy specs. It offers a compact solution for travelers who prioritize transportability. The black color option differs from the AiJoy’s white. It fits beginners who need wireless connectivity but do not have the specific MIDI features of the AiJoy. You get a folding design with battery power, trading some connectivity features for a different aesthetic and potential price point.
MUSTAR 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The MUSTAR model includes Bluetooth connectivity and a sturdy stand, which the AiJoy does not list. It is a fixed-size piano weighing 30 pounds, much heavier than the AiJoy’s 8.8 pounds. This makes it less portable. It is ideal for beginners wanting a complete portable setup with touch-sensitive keys and mobile connectivity. You trade the AiJoy’s lightweight folding design for Bluetooth support and a dedicated stand. It is a better choice for stationary practice where wireless audio and a stable setup are more important than easy transport.
