How each alternative compares
AiJoy Folding 88-Key Light-Up Keyboard
The AiJoy Folding 88-Key Light-Up Keyboard shares the folding form factor and light-up key feature with the BESFAN model. It also uses semi-weighted keys for a responsive touch. However, it weighs 9 pounds, which is 3 pounds lighter than the BESFAN’s 12-pound build. This makes the AiJoy easier to carry for travel. It includes a stand, whereas the BESFAN relies on a music stand. You should choose the AiJoy if you prioritize a lighter weight and a dedicated stand over the longer battery life found in the BESFAN unit.
Zilvok 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Zilvok 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano differs by offering Bluetooth connectivity, which the BESFAN lacks. It provides a complete setup including a stand, making it a stationary solution rather than a portable folding device. While both use semi-weighted keys, the Zilvok is designed for home practice where stability matters more than portability. It connects via USB-MIDI for app integration. Pick the Zilvok if you want a permanent furniture-style setup with wireless features instead of a foldable keyboard for on-the-go practice.
Alesis Recital 88-Key Semi-Weighted Piano
The Alesis Recital 88-Key Semi-Weighted Piano is significantly lighter at 6.34 pounds compared to the 12-pound BESFAN. It features a non-folding, full-size design with built-in speakers. Unlike the BESFAN, it does not offer light-up keys or a folding mechanism. It is a simpler, more compact instrument for basic practice. You should select the Alesis if you want the lightest possible option and do not need the visual learning aids or foldable storage space provided by the BESFAN model.
Vediya 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The Vediya 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano includes a 4-leg stand, positioning it as a stationary instrument rather than a portable folding keyboard. It connects via USB-MIDI for app support, similar to the BESFAN. However, it lacks the folding design and light-up keys that define the BESFAN experience. The Vediya is heavier and bulkier, suited for fixed home locations. Choose the Vediya if you prefer a sturdy, furniture-style setup with app connectivity over the portability and visual guides of the BESFAN.
KUMENG 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano
The KUMENG 88-Key Semi-Weighted Digital Piano is a stationary unit with a width of 53 inches, unlike the foldable BESFAN. It supports app connectivity for learning, which aligns with the BESFAN’s MIDI capabilities. However, it does not feature light-up keys or a folding design. It is heavier and less portable. You should pick the KUMENG if you need a dedicated home practice station with software integration and do not require the space-saving foldable design or visual key lighting of the BESFAN.
Homfan 88-Key Foldable Digital Piano
The Homfan 88-Key Foldable Digital Piano shares the folding design with the BESFAN but weighs 15 pounds, which is 3 pounds heavier. It is a semi-weighted keyboard aimed at beginners.
