Korg Liano Key Specs Explained
Number of Keys: 88
You get a full-sized keyboard with 88 keys. This matches the range of an acoustic piano. It allows you to play standard repertoire and advanced techniques. Beginners and advanced players both benefit from this completeness. Many portable keyboards offer fewer keys, so this spec ensures you do not need to upgrade your instrument later as your skills grow.
Preset Tones: 8
The instrument includes eight built-in sounds. These typically cover piano, electric piano, organ, and strings. This count is modest compared to stage pianos that offer hundreds of voices. It suits players who want to focus on core piano tones. If you need extensive orchestral or synth sounds, you may find this limit restrictive. It is best for straightforward practice and simple accompaniment.
Speaker System: Front-facing bass reflex speakers
The speakers face forward, directing sound toward you rather than the floor. Bass reflex design enhances low-frequency response for richer bass notes. This setup improves clarity when playing alone. It helps you hear dynamics and tonal details better. Compare this to upward-facing speakers which can sound muffled. This configuration is practical for home practice where you sit directly in front of the unit.
Height: 2.87 inches
The piano is only 2.87 inches thick. This slim profile allows it to fit in small apartments or tight corners. You can store it easily when not in use. Traveling with the instrument is also simpler due to the reduced depth. Most digital pianos are significantly thicker. This spec is ideal for users with limited floor space or those who need to move the piano frequently.
Design and Build Quality
The Korg L1 measures 50.5 inches wide, 11.4 inches deep, and 2.87 inches high. At 13.2 pounds, the chassis remains light enough to move between rooms or transport to rehearsals. This shallow depth means you can place the keyboard on standard tabletops or slim stands without taking up excess floor space. The model comes in a black finish, with silver also listed as an alternate color option.
The top layout keeps controls minimal. According to the listing, sound selection relies on an intuitive front-panel dial to switch among eight internal tones. Front-facing bass reflex speakers project audio directly toward you from the main casing. For power, the unit runs on six AA batteries or via a USB connection, delivering up to eight hours of playtime according to the listing.
This bundle configuration includes a furniture-style bench alongside an instructional book, an instructional DVD, and a polishing cloth. The bench gives you dedicated seating for home practice. Because the keyboard operates via USB or battery power without requiring a wall outlet, you can position the instrument anywhere in your home or pack the light frame for travel.
