Looking Beyond the MUSTAR 61 Key Piano Keyboard? 6 Alternatives Worth a Look

How each alternative compares

MUSTAR 61-Key Lighted Keyboard Kit

This model keeps the 61-key layout and lighted key feature found in the original. It weighs 15 pounds, which is slightly lighter than the 17-pound original. The dimensions are nearly identical at 36.6 inches wide. You get a similar teaching experience with guided practice tools. The main difference is the black color option instead of silver. It also includes app connectivity for digital learning. If you want a lighter unit with app support, this is a close alternative. The bundle includes essential accessories for beginners. It offers the same core functionality with a minor weight reduction.

Donner 61-Key Lighted Keyboard Kit

The Donner model adds an LCD screen, a feature absent from the original MUSTAR keyboard. It weighs 23.8 pounds, making it significantly heavier than the 17-pound original. The width is slightly larger at 38.2 inches. You get lighted keys and a visual display for settings. The bundle includes a stand for immediate setup. This option suits beginners who prefer visual feedback over the original's simpler interface. The increased weight provides more stability but reduces portability. You trade the lighter feel of the original for added hardware and screen visibility. It remains a comprehensive starter kit with similar key count and lighting features.

Vangoa 61-Key Lighted Keyboard

This Vangoa keyboard features lighted keys like the original but weighs only 15.7 pounds. It is slightly lighter than the 17-pound original. The dimensions are comparable, measuring 36.6 inches in length. You get a complete learning kit with a stand included. The white color offers a different aesthetic compared to the silver original. It targets beginners with visual learning aids. You do not get the specific teaching modes mentioned for the original, but the lighted keys serve a similar purpose. The bundle provides a practical entry point. It is a solid alternative if you prefer a lighter instrument with included accessories and visual guidance.

RockJam 61-Key Keyboard Kit with Stand and Stool

The RockJam model lacks lighted keys, which is a key feature of the original MUSTAR keyboard. It weighs 19.8 pounds, making it heavier than the 17-pound original. The width is narrower at 35.4 inches. You get a full starter kit with a stand and stool included. This option focuses on basic piano skills without visual key guidance. It suits beginners who do not need lighted keys and prefer a traditional setup. The bundle includes headphones for practice. You trade the interactive lighted features for a more standard keyboard experience. It remains a practical choice for students starting with essential piano fundamentals and included furniture.

The ONE 61-Key Lighted Keyboard

This The ONE keyboard includes Bluetooth connectivity, a feature not listed for the original MUSTAR model. It weighs only 7.7 pounds, making it much lighter than the 17-pound original. The dimensions are smaller, measuring 35.1 inches in length. You get lighted keys and app-guided learning tools. The mint green color offers a distinct look. This option is ideal for beginners who prioritize digital connectivity and portability. You sacrifice the heavier build and included stand for a lightweight, app-connected experience. The lack of included accessories means you need to purchase them separately. It fits players who want to use apps for learning rather than bundled hardware.

Yamaha 61-Key Portable Keyboard

The Yamaha model does not feature lighted keys, unlike the original MUSTAR keyboard. It weighs 12.6 pounds, which is significantly lighter than the 17-pound original. The width is slightly narrower at 37 inches. You get a portable keyboard from a well-known brand. This option suits beginners who value brand reliability and portability over visual learning aids. It lacks the included stand and accessories found in the original bundle. You trade the interactive features and bundled furniture for a compact, standalone instrument. It is a solid entry-level choice for players who prefer a simpler setup without lighted keys or extensive teaching modes.
